I’ve just (really recently) gotten my hand’s on Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero’s new album Up From Below. The band stopped by Letterman the other night to play the jangling neo-americana folk revival tune “Home” which is definitely one of the album’s highlights. Simplistic in it’s delivery, the song features both Alex Ebert and Jade Castrinos taking turn detailing their romantic affair likening it to all-american favorites like pumpkin pie, chocolate candy and jesus christ. It don’t get much better than that.
