My infatuation with Brand New is no secret. (this blogs name wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for “luca”). A few days ago, I posted a link to a largely disputed article that had the supposed tracklisting off of the new album. While details are still practically non-existant on the forthcoming release, (and probably will remain so judging by Brand New’s reserved demeanor) we’ve still been treated to a number of videos of new material. Up till now we’ve only been able to hear the following track “Gasoline” in it’s bareboned yet still brooding version. However, video has now surfaced of a recent live performance at Manchester Academy of Brand New giving us the full-band take on the new track. The sub 3-minute screamer showcases Brand New following ground discovered in 2006′s breakout The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me, but I worry for Lacey’s vocal chords if the rest of the new album follows “Gasoline’s” pissed off theatrics, as he may soon scream them into oblivion.
