to be completely honest with you i haven’t listened to interpol since the summer before my junior year in high school. i remember purchasing antics after getting a recommendation from my friends. sure, “slow hands” and “evil” were great singles, but even after i bought the disc, it never got too much spin except for when i tried to learn the fantastic bass lines to “slow hands” so i could cover it in some shit garage with my friends.
fast forward to 2010. im nearing 22 now and after digging through my last.fm library and trying to rediscover long lost gems, interpol has re-surfaced, giving me a hard smack across the face for being such an ignorant ass for the past 6 years.
being 6 years late in discovering the greatness of interpol, i don’t expect many to relate with this post, but i’ve been tearing through antics recently in a way that i do with very few records. if your new to the game like me, then give the unnerving album opener “next exit” a spin. here’s to rediscovering the hidden gems. cheers
