kirk huffman is no stranger to things here at the bedwetting cosmonaut. in fact, this blog’s first post EVER was on kay kay and his weathered underground, one of the two bands that huffman currently fronts.

wild orchid children, that other band, recently announced their debut full-length, The Wild Orchid Children Are Alexander Supertramp (due out sometime this spring). those unfamiliar to WOC’s signature sound will soon find themselves immersed in what feels like an acid-induced trip through the jungle. “martha washington goes to war”, the albums first released track is the shining example of this, combining huffman’s beastie boy-esque ranting with a circus of riffing guitars and keyboards which combine for most of the 9-minute epic tracks make up before drifting into droning ambience and then back into a rousing anthem. preview the new track here and keep your eyes peeled for a release date which should be announced sometime soon
