Envy On The Coast has always been one of my favorite band’s out of Long Island. Their 2007 release LUCY GRAY was one of my favorite releases of that year, lyrically and musically intricate beyond anything I’d expect from a couple of fresh twenty-somethings.
Looks like they have a new record coming down the pipeline entitled Lowcountry. Lucky for us, they’ve posted a new track entitled “The Devil’s Tongue”. While it’s not as intricate nor immediately engaging as some of their previous work, the percussion heavy track is just the type of progression one would expect… And it’s very good. Color me very very excited for this one.
