If you haven’t heard of New York’s Moving Mountains, then listen up because these guys are going to be making a lot of noise this coming year. With the acclaimed full-length of 2007′s Pneuma, Moving Mountains were one of my fondest discoveries of that year. Combining mid-western emo with atmospheric post-rock tendencies, its hard to find a word that properly describes their epic opus.

They have recently announced their new EP entitled “Foreward”, set to be released sometime in 2009. It is up for pre-order here Containing only 4 songs, Foreword is an astounding piece of work clocking in at over 36 minutes! MP3 of the EP opener can be found below:
