I’m late on the hype train yet again. This time it’s Local Natives. Although you lucky people in the UK got your release in November, the band’s debut still isn’t due out in the US till February. Regardless, I got my hand on a copy and there’s really little else that I’ve been listening to the past week.
Although the disc features solid cuts from start to finish, I gotta go with the second track “Airplanes” featuring that smart indie-pop swagger that emanates from “Gorilla Manor”
Keep an eye out, the disc will be dropping February 11th via Rough Trade

These guys are getting more popular every month, and I’m just all too happy for them. I still remember the Cavil At Rest days, I’m hoping to see them as Local Natives. If their shows are even better than their C.A.R. ones, then it must just be an explosion of amazing.
