If the now inactive band Desaparecidos were ever to make another album, this is what it would sound like. Hailing from New Jersey, Titus Andronicus are a 5 piece band fresh off the release of their debut album, The Airing of Grievances. TAOG mixes furious rock n roll with tendencies that juxtapose blistering punk rock and mellowed shoe-gaze. Andrew Cedermark, whom takes on vocal duties for the band, has a distinct shriek that mimics an edgier and harsher sounding Conor Oberst. His vocals range from possessed shouting to paranoid whispers throughout which is one of the main aspects that makes this album so enjoyable. Check out my favorite track off the album below
