While I’m still hopefully awaiting the news that one of my favorite bands ever, Gatsbys American Dream will improbably decide to reunite, here’s a bit that’s keeping me satisfied in the interim.
Nic Newsham who handled vocal duties for Gatsbys has been in a flurry of side-projects since the “indefinite hiatus” of Gatsbys, but this seems to be the only one that has any real intentions of being a real band.
Princess Dinosaur is a collaboration of Newsham and Nick Vombrack, which Newsham lending his one-of-a-kind voice to the majority of their songs. If you have a spare moment, make sure to check out the handful of songs they’ve made available over at myspace. “Electricity” “Doubled Over” “Steamy Dreamz” and “A Bit of Sunshine” all come heavily recommended from yours truly.
According to their myspace, it looks like they’re planning on putting the songs together for some kind of release. Stay tuned dudes.
