Maryland natives Pianos Become The Teeth are a five piece screamo act out of Maryland. Don’t let the generic label turn you off though. Despite the many acts that come and pass through the stale scene, succumbing to a tired trend of american apparel deep v-neck’s and bad christian “metal, Pianos Become The Teeth a much needed breath of fresh air.
The band’s debut Old Pride is an 8 song powerhouse of unabashed hardcore and screamo intertwined with building crescendos and post-rock interludes that make it just as unique as it is impressively devastating.
The band just recently signed on with Top Shelf Records who are set to release Old Pride in early 2010. In the meantime, check out the album’s most ferocious and personal favorite track “Quit Benefit”

As a MD native myself I’m surprised I never heard of these guys. Giving them a listen as I speak and am already feeling their sound. Good looks!
