News coming in from this year’s ATP Festival that Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox announced the band will be going on a prolonged hiatus. According to the band, the break is supposed to last a “long time” which may come as bad news to Deerhunter faithful that have been spoiled with a luxurious amount of material over the past two years.
It’s safe to assume that this doesn’t mean any less material from Cox who will be releasing full-length Logos under his solo-moniker Atlas Sound on October 20th.

people misunderstood that comment. bradford said that they were done touring for 2009 and then taking a break so that he could work on his atlas sound stuff and the rest of the guys could wind down and settle their lives for a bit after touring non-stop. deerhunter is touring europe this spring, so the “hiatus” is far from what you’ve let on.
