Young Man will return with a trilogy of albums starting 5/22 with Volume 1. Today he debuted his new video for “Fate” a dreamy spring time ode with breezy bass and floating harmonies. It’s everything I’ve come to expect and love from this kid. Still at a loss to see him not completely blow up. Hoping/thinking that changes with this next one:

Well this is a pleasant surprise. After releasing last year’s best of’d full-length Ideals of Distance, Young Man has announced he’s back with Vol. 1 which will be apart of a planned trilogy of releases. The new record will be out 5/22 via Frenchkiss.

“Fate”, the first released track from the new record showcases YM braintrust Colin Caulfield’s seemless penchant for boundless harmonies. It’s gettin me all sorts of excited, stream below:

I just got my hands on this one late last night. I gotta say, this record is much more expansively mature than anything else this kid has put out. Go check out the beautiful guitarwork and floating ambience of Ideas of Distance via Spinner.

About a month ago we got Young Man’s first preview of his new album Ideas of Distance in the eurphoric floating melodies of “Enough”.

Today he released “Tired Eyes”, the second song from the new album. It’s a gorgeous and introspective track, fitting perfectly as a soundtrack to the oncoming transition from summer’s unyielding heat to the changing colors and cooler temperatures of fall.

Ideas of Distance drops September 27th. Preorder here

If you were like me and weren’t all too impressed by Panda Bears latest effort, here’s something that might be down your alley. I’ve posted about Young Man before and the similarities between his and Noah Lennox’s work is hard to ignore.

Young Man released his debut album Boy early last year, and now he’s back with it’s follow-up, “Ideas of Distance”. You can preview “Enough”, a new song from the album above.

Ideas of Distance is out September 27th via Frenchkiss
