St. Vincent took some new direction on her RSD single for “Krokodil”, a fuzzy two and a half minute foot stomper unlike much else we’ve ever heard from Annie in the past. b-side “Grot” is similarly surprising featuring eery backing vocals, deranged guitar while Clark sounds like she’s going slowly insane throughout.

St. Vincent – “Cruel”

Yesterday St. Vincent debuted her video for another new song “Cruel” which features the gorgeous goddess being (literally) buried alive in a fight against domestication. It’s a creepy take on the modern housewife, directed by Terri Timely.

Yesterday evening, St. Vincent also debuted some new songs at a live performance from New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. You can catch those below.

After some extended social-media foreplay this week, Annie Clark finally unleashed the first new song from her upcoming third studio full-length. “Surgeon” starts out with Clark singing a dissonant synth-layered lullaby before delving into some instrumental experimentation.
