So apparently Nightmare of You’s vocalist Brandon Reilly has a solo venture going on right now and just put out two demos for stream which can be heard below. No word on what the status is on the reported new NOY album, but one can only hope that this bodes well for coming to fruition. Fingers crossed!

after five and a half years of dating, i figured now was a good a time as any to ask the only real girlfriend i’ve ever had to marry me. nearing 22 years of age, it’s hard to believe we were a mere 15 and 16 years old respectively when this all got off the ground. nostalgia aside, more celebratory songs seem in order. lots of love goes out to my brand spankin new fiance, charlotte. one love

thank god it’s tuesday…after last weeks non-existant new release tuesday, i’m glad to be back with a full list…

julian plenti – julian plenti… is skyscraper
Paul Bank’s makes his debut solo-effort under the moniker “Julian Plenti” Like I’ve said before, if you like anything Interpol has put out make sure to give this a spin. You won’t be disappointed. Stream the whole album here

I haven’t got a chance to spin this one yet, but my excitement for this release has been a long time coming. Don’t forget to check out my little blurb as well as some other release hype in my most anticipated releases for the rest of 2009.

nightmare of you – infomaniac
I’d recommend finding a stream of this before deciding on whether to cop the money on it. Personally, I’m not a huge fan. There’s some great tracks, but it just doesn’t do justice to their amazing self-titled debut. Hit up some of the tracks at the band’s myspace

modest mouse – no one’s first and you’re next
wtf is modest mouse doing? in recent months, they put out three different singles, then rereleased them along with their b-sides on a B-sides EP…Somebody needed some money I guess, only pick this one up if your a modest mouse discography completist.

Here in Utah, it’s been pretty rainy up until the last couple of days where we’ve finally been treated to some real summer weather. Whether it’s for riding in the hot summer sun singing along to your favorite songs or kicking back on a warm summer’s night with some friends, it’s hard to find things much better than a good mix of songs to accompany you. The hot weather has prompted me to throw together some of the songs I’ve been digging as of late. I named it after probably my favorite song of all time by Bright Eyes.
