It’s not a ton of info, but I’ll take it. Fun. announced their new album will be called Some Nights. The hotly anticipated sophomore full-length will drop February 12th 2012. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the new track they debuted last month ft. Janelle Monae below, along with a new acoustic performance the band released today.

Check out this new song from Fun. Although the new album still won’t be out til sometime in 2012, they made “We Are Young” available for stream and it’ll be available tomorrow for purchase via iTunes.

It’s got all the makings of just what you’d expect from these guys. The cameo from Janelle Monae doesn’t sound half bad either.

It’s been a minute since we got any word from Fun. regarding their HIGHLY anticipated sophomore follow-up to their fantastic debut. I remember reading in an AP mag earlier this year that the band hoped to have it out by the end of 2011 but it looks like that’s been shelved til’ 2012 as the band are in studio finishing it up with producer Jeff Bhasker (partially responsible for Jay-Z and Kanye’s collab Watch The Throne.) Anyway, the band got a little bit of a glimpse into studio life with some clips of new tunes to boot. Just watch, this one’s gonna be worth the wait, folks.
