Black Moth Super Rainbow has apparently scrapped the material he had recorded for the new Psychic Love Damage album that was supposed to be out last year. According to a recent update he will continue work on the album that will hopefully see release sometime in 2012. In the meantime, he’s released “Quiver The Good Times”, an outtake from the record he felt good enough about to share, grab it below:

loose leaves [summer 2009 mix]

Here in Utah, it’s been pretty rainy up until the last couple of days where we’ve finally been treated to some real summer weather. Whether it’s for riding in the hot summer sun singing along to your favorite songs or kicking back on a warm summer’s night with some friends, it’s hard to find things much better than a good mix of songs to accompany you. The hot weather has prompted me to throw together some of the songs I’ve been digging as of late. I named it after probably my favorite song of all time by Bright Eyes.

Thanks go out to justus for turning me on to the psychedelic daydream that is black supermoth rainbow. their latest, eating us dropped this past tuesday and comes highly recommended. even if your not into the whole psych-pop trend that seems to be going on right now, it’s hard to not get stoked on this album, especially when you pair it’s nostalgia- heavy synth beats with vocoder drenched vocals and booming bass.

open your windows, put on the headphones and trip out, my friends.
