speculation has been mounting since the release of hell or high water that it would be as cities burn’s last record. the band has confirmed via myspace that they have indeed, broken up.

this marks the first time in a while i’ve had a band so close to me disband. the band’s 2007 release come now sleep was a landmark in the post-hardcore genre which spanned across landscapes of post-rock, blues-infused riffs and razor sharp lyricism. cody bonnette is a rarity, a truly gifted musician and front-man.
